No. Cards open in any browser from a text, an email or a private link. If they do have Gladlet, it lands in their inbox and their wallet automatically.

In 2021 our founder Ines Okafor counted eleven birthday cards she had bought, written and never posted.
The intention was never the problem. Stamps, addresses and the Friday post were. Gladlet keeps the part people love, choosing and writing, and quietly handles the rest: the date, the delivery and the gift that goes with it.
Today we are 23 people in Portland and Lisbon, working with more than 160 independent illustrators and a few hundred small shops.

In short: you own what you write, we only use your contacts to deliver your cards, and unopened gifts can be refunded for 30 days.
You need to be 13 or older to use Gladlet, and 18 or older to buy gifts. You’re responsible for what you write on cards and for having permission to use photos you add.
Don’t use Gladlet to send bulk messages, advertising or anything that harasses the recipient. We may pause accounts that do.
Gift cards are issued by the shop named on the card and are subject to that shop’s own terms. Gladlet Cash is a stored balance held for the recipient.
Unopened gifts can be refunded in full within 30 days of sending. Scheduled gifts are charged only when the card goes out. Once a recipient opens a gift, its value belongs to them.
Your name, email and phone number; the cards you write; the names and contact details of the people you send to; and payment details, which are processed by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.
To deliver cards and gifts, remind you of dates you saved, prevent fraud and answer support requests. We do not sell personal data or use your address book for marketing.
Export or delete your account from Settings at any time. Deleting removes your cards and contacts within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax law.
