The precision humanoid

OR-02Pro

Forty-four degrees of freedom, and hands careful enough to move a seedling.

Degrees of freedom
44degrees of freedom, 11 in each hand
Repeatability
0.3 mmfingertip repeatability
Runtime
6.5 hruntime, hot-swap battery
Choose a model

Three humanoids, one body plan. Hands, heads and batteries share a single interface, so a lab can start small and change shape later.

How the platform works

The family, to scale.

Compare models

Every part has a job.

The details that decide whether a robot is pleasant to work beside: how it senses, how quietly it moves and how long it stays on its feet.

Hands

Eleven joints per hand, force sensed at every fingertip.

Resolution down to 0.05 N lets the OR-02 Pro hold a vial, a seedling or a screwdriver with the same hand.

Perception

Six depth cameras behind one pane of glass.

360 degree coverage without a ring of lenses staring back at the people nearby.

Power

6.5h

Runtime at walking pace on the OR-02 Pro. The pack swaps in under 40 seconds while the robot keeps its balance.

Actuation

38 dB at one metre.

Quieter than a library, so people talk to it rather than about it.

Open SDK, Python and C++
from oryn import Robot

robot = Robot.connect("or-02-lab-3")
robot.hands.right.grasp(
    target="rack_b/vial_4",
    max_force_n=1.2,
)
robot.wait_until_idle() # returns once the vial is seated

No licence fees for the SDK or updates. Every skill runs in the simulator before it runs on the robot.

Where Oryn works.

Four settings, each with a partner who runs Oryn platforms every week.

What partners say

“We had the OR-01 walking our corridor test loop within an afternoon. It is the first platform we have used that does not fight the hardware.”
Dr Ines HalloranDirector, Movement Lab, Rivergate Institute
“The field unit walks our glasshouse at six in the morning and logs every truss. Mud on the feet is a non-event.”
Tomas WrenHead of Automation, North Acre Farms
“Visitors talk to the OR-01 instead of about it. That quietness changed how the whole gallery feels.”

Demonstration days run Tuesday to Thursday. We bring an OR-01 or OR-02 Pro, a dock and an engineer, and work through the task you are unsure about.
