Start with where you ride and what you carry. Each category page explains the trade-offs and lists the bikes that fit.

Ride one first.
Every partner shop has a demo fleet, a mechanic who can fit you and 45 minutes to let you ride your own route.

Askel means stride.
We started in 2019 in a rented Portland workshop with one idea: an electric bike should be as easy to repair as it is to ride. Seven years later, that is still the brief.
What we will not compromise.
Built to be repaired
Standard bottom brackets, axles, shock sizes and brake mounts. Published service manuals. No proprietary tools, so any good shop can keep your bike running.
Tuned, not throttled
Every motor map is tuned on real routes by our own riders, so assist feels like stronger legs rather than a push from behind.
Service near you
We only sell where a partner shop can assemble, deliver and service the bike. If we cannot support it, we do not ship it.
Seven years, six bikes.
First frame
An aluminium commuter prototype that became the first Linea after 14 revisions.
Linea and Ease
Two city bikes, 12 partner shops and a waiting list we did not expect.
Mule
A longtail designed with parents who tested 40 prototypes over two school years.
Scree and Grit
Our first off-road bikes, with the new Askel Drive 90 and a light hub-motor gravel bike.
Talk to a rider.
Our support team rides the bikes they support. Most messages get a reply within four working hours.
Not sure between two bikes or two sizes? Tell us your height, route and what you carry.
Include your frame number. It is printed under the bottom bracket.

Privacy
We collect what we need to deliver and service your bike: your name, contact details, delivery address and your bike's frame number. We share your order with the partner shop that builds and delivers it, and with nobody else for marketing.
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time from the contact page. Order records are kept for seven years for tax purposes.
Terms of sale
Prices include assembly and delivery to addresses within 40 km of a partner shop. Sales tax is calculated at checkout. Your order is confirmed when the partner shop accepts it, usually within one working day.
You may return a bike within 30 days and 150 km of delivery in its original condition. Equipment can be returned unused within 30 days.
Warranty
Frames and motors are covered for five years from delivery, and batteries for two years or 800 full charge cycles. Wear parts, crash damage and commercial use are not covered. Warranty claims go through your partner shop, who handle the repair.
